Within this group the rate runs from duty-free to 6.5%. Compared with 2918.30.15 (2-Chloro-4,5-difluoro-ß-oxobenzenepropanoic acid, ethyl ester; and…), which pays duty-free, a misclassification either way moves the duty by 3.7 percentage points.
The general duty rate is 3.7% of the customs value, which is in the middle of the rates in chapter 29 (34th percentile of 1050 lines with an ad valorem rate). On a shipment valued at $10,000 that is $370 in duty before any Chapter 99 additions or preference claims.
