The general duty rate is 2.4% of the customs value, which is above most the rates in chapter 90 (83rd percentile of 296 lines with an ad valorem rate). On a shipment valued at $10,000 that is $240 in duty before any Chapter 99 additions or preference claims.

Within this group the rate runs from duty-free to 2.9%. Compared with 9010.90.85 (parts and accessories of articles of subheadings 9010.50 and 9010.60), which pays duty-free, a misclassification either way moves the duty by 2.4 percentage points.
